We've made some changes to our  lunches for the 2011-2012 school year.  Our lunch break now begins at 11:45 am and classes resume at 12:25 pm.  Students are ALL welcome to stay for lunch with their classes this year at no charge.  We follow a "play first, eat second" system whereby all students are on the playground with supervision from 11:45 am until noon, and then are in their classrooms eating from noon until 12:25 pm.  Students are still, of course, welcome to go home for lunch if they are able to do so within these new time parameters.  If going home, students will be dismissed at 11:45 am and may come directly into their classroom when they return as there will be no supervision on the playground after 12:00.          The “It’s a B.L.A.S.T” Program Phone:  403-320-3988 The “It’s a BLAST Program” is a child care program for children aged 6 –12 and is administered as a nonprofit society called the Lethbridge Community Out -of -School Association.  The organization provides Before School and After /Out -of- School programming at assorted locations in the City.  Specifically offered to the families at Mike Mountain Horse Elementary School, is Before School and After/Out -of -School programming.  Families may be requiring care for their children at times they are unable to be with their children because of work and/or school obligations.  All program staff are screened appropriately and have certification in First Aid/CPR. Programming includes a variety of activities for children to choose from.  Casual, Part-time, and Fulltime registrations are accepted.  Reasonable daily and monthly program fees offered.  Subsidy available to those families who are eligible based on their application.  For more information on how to register and/or more detailed information on programming please call 403-320-3988.
